Abstract

This article has as object of study the Conservation Unit of Campos Gerais National Park (PNCG), located in the center?east of the State of Parana - Brazil and has as general objective to carry out an analysis of the perception of the residents of four communities located around this Park, about this UC and its relationship with Tourism. The methodology adopted through a qualitative survey, with bibliographic survey, on-site visits and the application of questionnaires with open and closed questions for the residents. This study sought to identify the interest that the tourist activity arouses in the surroundings of this National Park, in order to analyze the potential of supply as a factor of development and local sustainability. As a result, it was observed that most of the interviewees were in favor of the PNCG and active participation in tourism.
