Abstract

According to the economic statistics of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) in recent three years and the e-commerce transaction data of 9 cities in the mainland, the economic spatial connection of urban agglomeration is constructed by using the social network analysis method. The characteristics of urban agglomeration economic network from different perspectives are compared to analyze and verify the impact of economic network spillover effect of urban agglomeration in GBA on economic growth. It is found that the urban agglomeration in GBA has high overall density and obvious network structure, displaying a significant “core-semimargina-marginal” structure and three-tier structure characteristics in the spatial structure. From the dynamic analysis results of e-commerce transaction "flow data", the emerging e-commerce transaction network has an obvious spillover effect on the economic growth of urban agglomeration. Suggestions are proposed to promote the coordinated development of urban agglomeration in GBA.
