Abstract
It is difficult to find an area of modern human activity that has felt the impact of the scientific-technological revolution to such a remarkable degree as the educational system. Higher education plays a special role in the acceleration of progress in science and technology. In society, it not only performs the service function associated with the training of specialists for the national economy; the development of higher education is also of exceptional social significance in satisfying the people's ever-increasing demand for knowledge.
