Abstract

The eleventh session of the Economic and Social Council, which had been suspended on August 16, 1950, reconvened at Lake Success in October to consider the urgent problems of assistance to the civilian population of Korea, plans for the relief and rehabilitation of Korea, and the study of long-term measures to promote the economic development and social progress of Korea. In addition, the Council was to complete its work on the calendar of meetings for 1951 and decide upon the venue of the twelfth session.
