Abstract
The universal two-child policy has been adopted since the fifth Plenary Session of the 18th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. This policy is in response to the problem of aging of population in China so that the pressure of our country's economy, people's living and other aspects can be alleviated. However, what should not be ignored is that the policy has lead to the increase of the gender discrimination in employment. How to protect the legitimate rights and interests of women workers, realize social harmony and sustainable development, we need scientific knowledge and actively respond to female employment discrimination. In this paper, I will find out the root causes and economic explanations of this gender discrimination in employment and then put forward the countermeasures and suggestions.
