Abstract

This article presents an observational study aimed at understanding the complex set of factors influencing maternal mortality, the prevalence of anemia among non-pregnant women, and road traffic injuries among HIV-infected women in poor countries. Using panel data from 10 poor countries as sample observations from around the world, econometric models were developed to explore the complex relationships between maternal mortality and important health indicators.
