Abstract

The investigation of affective dynamics has been limited in aging and rehabilitation research, possibly because of the inability of cross-sectional and retrospective measures to uncover the fluctuation of mood symptoms over time. Ecological Momentary Assessment (EMA) enables researchers to examine the fluctuation of mood symptoms. This study was aimed to contrast the variability of mood symptoms over time between older adults with different cognitive functions and explore the association of symptoms with participation.
