Abstract

In the paper is presented the working principle of the device as well as the constructive-functional scheme for its realization. The use of such a device allows variable gear ratios to be obtained in a very wide range. It has the advantage of a compact construction relative to other mechanisms with varying transmission ratios, such as the crank mechanism. The device contains a worm gear that allows for the eccentricity of a toothed wheel in relation to the cone wheel. The worm gear mechanism also ensures that it is self-locking while it is in operation without the need for other insurance items. The device can be used in the control of actuators in the field of machining or packaging in an automated process.
