Abstract

We present EasyDial, a tool that provides an integrated environment for the implementation of real time spoken language applications devoted to database access by using the telephone. We describe the functionalities of EasyDial and how the developer of a new vocal interface can use it without any specific competences on speech technologies. This is illustrated by a case study concerning the definition of the prototype of an automatic information service in the domain of air schedule inquiries.
