Abstract
It is with great joy that Aesthetic Plastic Surgery announces the affiliation of the European Association of Societies of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and its choice of our journal as its official organ. Borne out of the immense creativity of Dr. Ulrich Hinderer and nurtured by the caring hands of Dr. Yann Levet, EASAPS has taken its rightful place in organizations dedicated to excellence in aesthetic plastic surgery. The historic contributions of European plastic surgeons to the evolution of aesthetic plastic surgery have been enormous, and manuscript submissions for publication by Europeans to APS are the largest from any continent. It has been apparent to this writer from his travels that the new ideas emanating from European clinicians and researchers are expanding rapidly, the excellence of European aesthetic plastic surgery is unsurpassed, and to have our journal as their home base for publishing will be a natural fit. Our journal, Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, official organ of the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, and the oldest journal devoted exclusively to aesthetic plastic surgery, is a harmonious union with EASAPS in that it will enable the talents extant in European aesthetic surgery be even more apparent to the world.
