Abstract

The observations on earthquakes here presented were made by the officers and enlisted men detailed for the Metereological Station at the U.S. Naval Station of Agana, the chief settlement on the island of Guam which is the largest of the islands forming the Marianas Archipelago, and is located in latitude 13° North, longitude 145° East.1The time used in making all these observations is local mean time from which 9 hours and 39 minutes must be subtracted to give Greenwich mean civil time.
