Early pregnancy loss best practices

Abstract

This workshop will cover three key areas of miscarriage management: didactic and clinical skills, innovative approaches to training and uterine evacuation training in restrictive settings. Despite evidence that outpatient management of early pregnancy loss (EPL) is safe and cost-effective, most women desiring immediate management are still treated in the operating room. Many clinicians in the reproductive health field already possess the skills needed to diagnosis and treat a miscarriage in the office.
