Abstract

The spontaneous course of hydrocephalus developing in three untreated myelomeningocele patients was followed for several weeks. The size of the posterior cranial fossa was estimated against the increase of the calvarium and expressed objectively in mathematical terms as well as diagrammatically. By this method hydrocephalus imminence could very early be shown.
