Abstract
We have already gained a preliminary understanding of the human history of the Tibetan Plateau. However,new questions and challenges are arising at the same time. Future studies need to answer questions like when the EPAS1 gene began to appear in plateau populations, how these populations were related to the Denisovans in the Altai Mountains, and so on. Study of the ND site has lifted the veil covering the early human history of the Tibetan Plateau, and in the nearfuture, we will gradually uncover further details to construct a comprehensive history of prehistoric human activity on the Tibetan Plateau.
