Abstract

Many cognitive and clinical symptoms of schizophrenia may be observed prior to the onset of psychosis and other related impairments. Further, children at higher risk for schizophrenia, such as having an immediate relative with the disorder, display deficits across multiple cognitive and clinical domains. However, the majority of existing research focuses on middle childhood and early adolescence, with little exploration of potential deficits in early childhood.
