Abstract

E-learning that is inclusive of teaching, learning and assessment is no longer frowned upon by traditional educationists as it shares some of the inherent qualities of the regular mode of teaching. Contrasted with the old pattern of distance learning, online learning and teaching is attuned to the regular pattern of instruction thanks to the advancements in the field of information and communication technology. This paper explores some of the key features of E-learning that may shed some light on the theoretical and practical aspects involved in making it parallel to the traditional pattern followed.
