Abstract

Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) is widely adoptable technology by the organizations world-wide to grow their business. In the same manner the educational institutes and Universities are also implementing the ERP systems for their organizations to utilize their resources in the best way to achieve their goal and objective. In the history of the ERP systems, its implementation has higher failure rates than the implementation of any other application. Same rate of failures are also realized in the higher education institutes. ERP system was meant for manufacturing organization only but now it is adopted by all type of organizations, and higher education institutes are one of them. There are hundreds of educations ERP available in the market, but still there are higher failure rate and one can reduce this by integrating other technology like Knowledge management (KM) with it. In this article we are focusing a module of Enterprise Knowledge Management system through which knowledge of the faculty can be explored and their teaching can be improved which as a result can be helpful for the overall development of the students.
