Abstract
The aim of the article is the analysis and interpretation of discourses about the gymnasium students featured in the interviews, which were conducted in three age groups: youth, adults and seniors. The typology of Helena Ostrowicka was used for the analysis, including discourses of competence, cartography and condition. The analysis here showed the existence of all types of discourses, although the dominant one is the discourse of condition in which young people are defined as a problem. Differences were also revealed in the definition of youth, depending on age.
