Abstract
Based on the two-band tight-binding model, the dynamics of semiconductor superlattices driven by DC/AC fields is investigated. The quasi-energy bands under the action of a pure AC field are obtained and the effect of the interband couplings and hoppings on the quasi-energy bands are also discussed. By using the equations of motion of density matrix under the influence of DC fields with Markovian dephasing, both semi-classical and Zener currents are obtained. The comparison of these two currents and the effect of dephasing on these two contributions are provided.
