Abstract
We show the existence of dynamically correlated enhanced transport in the non-linearly kicked harmonic oscillator when the kick frequency is commensurate with the natural frequency of the oscillator. This enhanced transport occurs at periodic intervals in the kick strength equal to the periodicity of the system's phase space. We present a modified version of the standard oscillator mapping which allows the phase space periodicity to be varied and use this property to characterize the dependence of the enhanced transport on the periodicity of the system's phase space.
