Abstract

The dynamical analog of the Kohn anomaly image of the Fermi surface is demonstrated for the response functions to the surface acoustic waves (SAW) in quantum Hall systems near $\ensuremath{\nu}=\frac{1}{2}.$ Kinks appear in the velocity shift $\ensuremath{\Delta}s/s$ and attenuation coefficient $\ensuremath{\Gamma}.$ The effect is considerably enhanced under periodic modulation and can be observable in the geometry we propose, where the SAW wave vector is parallel to the wave vector of an external modulating potential.
