Abstract
This paper proposes a dynamic spectrum allocation method that reduces the effect of crosstalk in elastic optical networks with multi-core fibers. In elastic optical networks with multi-core fibers, crosstalk occurs when the same frequency band is used for signals of adjacent cores. In order to reduce the effect of the crosstalk, considering a routing and spectrum allocation (RSA) problem is very important. The proposed method provides an RSA strategy, which suppresses the generation of crosstalk by avoiding using the same frequency band in adjacent cores. Through simulation experiments, we show the effectiveness of the proposed method.
