Abstract

Possible applications of dynamic holograms for image amplification and image processing are discussed. The principal physical processes of holographic amplification of coherent light are analysed. Amplification of grey scale images during recording of dynamic holograms in pure reduced and Fe-doped crystals of LiNbO 3 is demonstrated. One-exposure technique of image subtraction or addition is proposed and realised in Fe-doped crystals of LiNbO 3.
