Abstract
In this paper we propose an epidemic model for active infectious nodes in computer network. Here we find basic reproduction number R0 , equilibrium and stability for an epidemic. Moreover, we show that for R0 < 1 the infected nodes will dies out and as such the malicious code ceases, whereas for R0 > 1 the infected nodes capable to spread malicious code in a computer network. Here we use Matlab to solve and simulate the system of equations. The simulated results help us to be aware of the spread of malicious codes in computer network.
