Abstract
This paper presents an analysis of the dynamic behaviour of the two-axle vehicle which is running on the jointed track. Both of them, the vehicle model and the track model, are discrete models. A wheel-rail elastic model is implemented, which allows simulation of the track wheel detachment and geometric contact situation in two points. We analyse the dynamic behaviour, both for the vehicle and the track. We highlighted the influence of the vehicle speed on wheel-rail contact forces and also truck body, wheels and track accelerations.
