Abstract
Dynamic batch processing commonly exists in production or business processes. Traditional workflow management systems (WfMSs) do not support dynamic batch processing. This paper applies dynamic batch processing to WfMSs. The proposed mechanism consists of a dynamic batch processing scheduling model as well as the design and implementation. Our experiment shows that the proposed dynamic batch processing mechanism is useful for and convenient to business processes.
