Abstract

The dynamic antiferroelectric behavior of dielectric susceptibility of a ferroelectric heterostructure (FEH) containing two different ferroelectric (FE) films with an antiferroelectric interfacial coupling between them has been investigated by means of a modified Landau theory appended Landau-Khalatnikov (L-K) equation. Two identical surface transition layers (STLs) within each film and a parameter β described discrepancies of physical properties enter two component films are considered, which is a more realistic model. Due to the competitive action of antiferroelectric coupling, STL, β and frequency of electric field, the dielectric susceptibility of system may present four or two peaks, exhibiting an antiferroelectriclike behavior or a ferroelectric behavior, respectively. We can obtain the characteristics of dielectric susceptibility for our need through appropriate option of these parameters.
