Abstract

As an important device to protect batteries in electric vehicles, the dynamic and static performance of the battery box is closely related to the safety of the whole vehicle. Therefore, it is very important to study the stress and displacement distribution of the battery box under specific working conditions to optimize the design of the weak parts of the battery box’s stiffness and strength. At first, this paper establishes the three-dimensional entity model and finite element model, and the stress state of battery box under extreme conditions of steep turning and braking on uneven road surface is calculated. At the last, the static strength analysis is carried out on the battery box. By analyzing the modal characteristics and the harmonious response to vibration characteristics of the battery box, the dynamic performance of the battery box has been comprehensively mastered. Finally, based on the static and dynamic analysis results of the battery box, the weak points and unreasonable points are improved. The results show that the modified model has a good improvement effect and has basically reached the established design requirements, which verifies the rationality of the structural improvement scheme.
