Abstract

This study is aimed to examine the relationship between dyadic adjustment and prenatal attachment. 346 pregnant women who applied to the antenatal polyclinic of a University Research Hospital constituted the sampling of the study. A pregnancy-information form, and the Dyadic Adjustment Scale and Prenatal Attachment Inventory were used to collect data from the pregnant women. There was a weak, positive, and significant relationship between prenatal attachment and dyadic adjustment. However, this study showed that pregnant women had a high dyadic adjustment and prenatal attachment. Also, it presented the need for improving dyadic adjustment to enhance prenatal attachment among pregnant women.
