Abstract
The study explores the mediation roles of parent emotion regulation and emotional reactivity in the relationship between adult parental attachment and adolescent psychological problems. The study group consisted of 324 parents. The findings reveal that secure adult attachment to both parents correlates with fewer adolescent psychological issues. Notably, adult emotional reactivity and parent emotion regulation partially mediate this relationship, highlighting distinct mediation pathways for emotional reactivity and parent emotion regulation in attachment to both mothers and fathers. This contributes new insights into parent-child relationships and adolescent psychological health.
