Abstract

The parish is the basic community of the Church. The life of the local Church depends to a large extent on it. The contemporary teaching of the Church attributes great importance to the parish and states that it is not an outdated structure. At the same time, he points to the constant need to renew the parish. This is done to a large extent by the renewal of the parish care. Since the main responsibility for this care rests with the priests and especially at the parish priest, the effectiveness of this renewal depends largely on them. This article shows the need for the pastoral conversion of presbyters as a necessary condition for the effective renewal of the parish work.
