Abstract

The problem of small amplitude dust-ion acoustic (DIA) solitary waves (SWs) is discussed using the reductive perturbation theory in a plasma containing thermal electrons, inertial ions, and negatively charged stationary dust grains under the influence of a varying magnetic field. Presented investigation shows that the effects of non-uniform magnetic fields and dust particles significantly modify the basic properties of the DIA solitary waves.
