Abstract

AbstractThe duality hypothesis based on the light cone behaviour of the current commutator is applied to the nonforward Compton amplitudes and the restrictions which the duality imposes on these amplitudes in various high energy limits are reviewed. It is shown how the duality of the Compton amplitudes can be tested experimentally in deep inelastic annihilation and exclusive electroproduction of mesons. A dual pole model of the Compton amplitude is constructed.
