Abstract

AbstractIn this investigated article, dual-stub design of microstrip fed monopole antenna for dual-band applications is introduced. This antenna is embed on the substrate fed with 50 Ω microstrip line. The proposed antenna with dual stub is exhibited which generates the frequencies ranging from (2.4–3.2 GHz)/2.7 GHz for WiMAX and lower band of WLAN and (5.3–9.1 GHz)/5.7 GHz for upper bands of WLAN and satellite communications applications. The respective bandwidths of the antenna are 30 and 67% with the return losses of −27 and −46 dB at 2.7 and 5.7 GHz. In the presented article, the performances are explored of the antenna with respect to the characteristics of the frequency domain parameters.KeywordsDual stubImpedance bandwidthMonopoleWLANWiMAX
