Abstract
A novel double H-shaped slot is introduced to achieve a dual-band coplanar waveguide CPW-fed antenna for radio frequency identification (RFID) applications. The designed antenna is low in profile and can operate simultaneously at 2.45 and 5.8 GHz bands with 1.07 and 2.38 dBi gains, respectively. Also, good omnidirectional radiation patterns have been obtained. Its properties make the antenna not only suitable for RFID tags, but also for WLAN applications.
