Abstract

With the advancement in nanotechnology, it is possible to manipulate light through groundbreaking technologies such as metasurface holography. This technology provides a powerful platform for manipulating light and its basic attributes. Here, we propose a cascading dynamic metasurface holographic system that composed of two metasurfaces with different functions. The first one can realize the functions of wavelength selection and polarization conversion by controlling the phase transition state of VO2. The other one can perform holographic displays. When the x-linear polarized lights with the frequency of 2.08 THz and 2.72 THz are incident on the system, different display output images can be observed with different polarization probes by modifying the phase transition state of VO2. This system has great potential in applications such as holographic display, camouflage, high-density data storage, and encryption.
