Abstract

For meeting the requirement of fixed conversion ratio converter in data center and other applications, a dual-resonator isolated DC transformer (DCX) converter is proposed in this article. To improve power conversion efficiency, all switches in the proposed converter can achieve zero-current switching (ZCS) by setting each operating phase to half a resonant period. Moreover, for overcoming the effects of resonant parameter drift under different load conditions, a full-isolated body diode conduction status detection module for all connection-type switch is researched, and the corresponding drain-to-source-based dual-resonant point tracking (DRPT) strategy is adapted for maintaining ZCS characteristic under all load conditions. Eventually, a 48-V input, ~12-V/140-W output experimental prototype with isolated detection module and DRPT strategy is built and tested for verifying the operating principle of the proposed converter, function of the detection module, and feasibility of the DRPT strategy.
