Abstract

In this study, a Ka-band dual-mode dielectric resonator filter is studied. As a new approach, to mount the dielectric resonator on the input coupling slot, a mechanical protrusion is designed. By use of this structure, controlled source coupling and excitation via waveguide can be allowed. Compared with coaxial cable excitation, waveguide excitation allows high power handling capacity and less insertion loss.
