Abstract

The present work investigates the mode-I fracture of single-edge notched beams under symmetric three- and four-point bends through dual-horizon peridynamic simulations. Mode-I J-integral and crack opening displacement are computed for a wide range of initial crack length-beam width ratios. δ-Convergence is carried out. Results are discussed with analytical and finite element methods. Peridynamic simulations agree well with analytical results.
