Abstract
This paper presents dual band frequency selective surfaces (FSS) with simple profile. The dual stop band characteristic is implemented by multiresonant elements: square loop and cross dipole. Vertical vias are loaded to the cross dipole for enlarging the capacitance and inductance in the high frequency band, and lower the corresponding resonate frequency. Equivalent circuit (EC) model is applied to predict the frequency response. Surface electric and magnetic fields distributions at resonant frequencies are analyzed together with the study of the main parameters. Both simulated and theoretical results are presented to verify the performance of the proposed design.
