Abstract

The paper presents dssCLATT, a developed user-friendly and dynamic software tool, facilitates convenient teaching, learning, and designing features of dye-sensitized solar cell technology. Spyder (v. 4.1.5), a scientific development environment, aided in devising the tool. It demonstrates three distinct windows: window one offers to analyze dye-sensitized solar cell characteristics at standard test conditions and for different porosity, temperature, and thicknesses. The second window is the simulation platform of the dye-sensitized solar plant model. The analysis of the I-V and P-V curves of a dye-sensitized solar module at different temperatures and illumination is feasible with the third window. One can learn the characteristics of the cell technology by tuning certain parameters, affect the cell performance, and able to design a plant model. The technology comprises unique features over the other technologies. The tool interface is devoted to educating and training the DSSC technology enthusiasts for further developments.
