Abstract
Current harmonics are the major concern in three-phase diode bridge rectifier with inductor or capacitor filters and it is necessary to compensate the harmonics exist in the nonlinear load to keep the utility supply current sinusoidal and free from undesired harmonics. In this paper, a novel signal processing technique with adaptive neural network is applied to determine the total harmonic current in the nonlinear load. The technique can determine the harmonic current in real time and its effectiveness is substantiated with DSP based experimental setup in three-phase shunt active power filter.
