Abstract

A study published in the international journal Frontiers Earth Sciense evaluated how drought affected the land degradation process in the Amazon River basin from 2001 to 2020. The research was coordinated by scientists from the Laboratory for the Analysis and Processing of Satellite Images ( Lapis ), in Brazil, in collaboration with researchers from Venezuela, the United States, India and Nepal.
