Abstract
This article examines the key drivers of international cooperation in competition law enforcement. It aims to demonstrate the factors that determine the likelihood and effectiveness of enforcement cooperation between independent jurisdictions. The findings of the article explain why some jurisdictions are able to use currently available legal mechanisms for international competition law enforcement cooperation more effectively than others. Such understanding enables us to draw up a more realistic account of the level of enforcement cooperation any given two or more jurisdictions can reasonably achieve. The analysis of this article may also help towards identifying potential areas for improvement in international enforcement cooperation.
