Abstract
An analysis is given of possible ways of achieving extremely high coordinate accuracy and two-track resolution in a drift chamber. A coordinate accuracy of 30 μm, and a two-track resolution of 100 μm have been obtained for a 10 mm drift distance with the drift precision imager prototype. A large solid angle vertex detector is also discussed.
