DR. TABASSUM KASHMIRI'S LITERARY HISTORICAL CONSCIOUSNESS

Abstract

Literary historiography plays a significant role in providing facts about the origin and evolution of different phases of literature. Many books has been written about literary history of Urdu. Among all of them,which has written in twentieth century ,Urdu abad ki tareekh written by Dr. Tabassum Kashmiri( in the beginning of twenty first century ) is very important and has its own sigficant values due to many reasons. Dr.Tabassum Kadhmiri wrote this literary history in very interesting way especially to entertain the students of Urdu literature. It is organized in nineteen chapters.Many critics agreed on a opinion that it is far better than other literary histories of urdu for many analytical and critical point of view. In this article an attempt has been made to overview the analytical ,critical, and literary vision of Dr.Tabassum Kashmiri.
