Abstract

AbstractHigh-energy stellar irradiation can photoevaporate planetary atmospheres, which can be observed in spectroscopic transits of hydrogen lines. Here, we investigate the effect of planetary magnetic fields on the observational signatures of atmospheric escape in hot Jupiters.
