Abstract

Double-photon decay in the 0 + to 0 + transition in 90Zr was measured with two large-volume Ge(Li) detectors, at angles of 90° and 180°. The branching ratio of double-photon decay with respect to the sum of internal-conversion electrons and internal pairs was (3.17 ± 0.77) × 10 −4. The angular correlation of two photons is in agreement with that of (E1, E1) transition, although it does not exclude other possibilities.
