Abstract

The polarization reversal under application of bipolar triangular field pulses in temperature range was investigated in single crystals of relaxor ferroelectric Sr0.75Ba0.25Nb2O6 (SBN75). The hysteresis loops “doubling” revealed above freezing temperature was explained using quasi-static Preisach approach taking into account the key role of inhomogeneous depolarization field produced by bound charges at the interphase boundaries of nonpolar inclusions. The observed temperature dependences of the main parameters of hysteresis loops and switching currents in SBN were attributed to effective bulk screening of the depolarization field.
