The SciencesVolume 29, Issue 5 p. 36-37 DOUBLE AGENTS Espionage and the Uncertainty Principle Tom Stoppard, Tom Stoppard Tom Stoppard, the English playwright, is the author of nearly two dozen plays, including Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead, The Real Inspector Hound, Travesties, and The Real Thing, as well as the novel Lord Malquist and Mr. Moon. His newest play, Hapgood, from which this dialogue is excerpted, was first presented at the Aldwych Theatre, in London, in March of 1988. Earlier this year, it was performed at the James A. Doolittle Theatre, in Los Angeles.
